Digestive Enzymes Ultra provides a high-strength, broad spectrum profile of vegetarian digestive enzymes. It features enzymes that are involved in the digestion of protein, carbohydrate, fat, fibre and lactose:
- Proteases facilitate the normal breakdown of proteins and di- and tri-peptides across a wide pH range
- Lipase promotes lipid breakdown, assisting in the breakdown of dietary fats and fatty foods
- Alpha-galactosidase promotes the breakdown of galacto-oligosaccharides (FODMAP’s) found in some vegetables, grains and legumes
- Amylase and Glucoamylase stimulate polysaccharide breakdown of starch and glycogen
- Invertase and Lactase facilitate digestion of carbohydrate disaccharides, including the dairy sugar lactose
